Gloucester County Public Schools will host the Commonwealth Listening Tour on Monday at Gloucester High School. The visit is part of Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s Executive Order Four and will include Virginia Secretary of Education Dr. Jeffery O. Smith and Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Jenna Conway. The purpose of the tour is to gather feedback from students, educators, families and community members to help inform state education priorities. The day will include a school tour and roundtable discussions with students and invited stakeholders. The public is invited to attend the listening session from 6-7:30 p.m. at GHS. Community members will have the opportunity to share input directly with state education leaders. GCPS is encouraging residents to attend and participate in the conversation about the future of public education in the commonwealth.
