SOCIAL SERVICES: The Gloucester County Social Services Board will meet at 7:30 a.m. today, Thursday, May 18, at the Department of Social Services building.

REPUBLICANS: The Gloucester County Republican Committee will meet today, Thursday, May 18, at The IDK Raw Bar and Grill, 4329 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes. Doors open at 6 p.m. for socializing and dinner; the meeting starts at 7:15.

REPUBLICANS: The Mathews County Republican Committee will meet at 7 o’clock tonight, Thursday, May 18, in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

FRIDAY

TOUR DE CHESAPEAKE: The Tour de Chesapeake bicycle tour will kick off with registration from 4-8:30 p.m. Friday at Thomas Hunter Middle School. It will continue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday along various roads in Mathews. The cost is $35.

CLASSIC CRUISERS: The Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers will have its weekly Cruise In at 5 p.m. Friday in the Main Street Gloucester Library parking lot.
