MAY FAIRE: May Faire 2023, honoring the heritage of Mathews County, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on and around the historic court green on Court Street in Mathews. This year’s festival will honor Mathews teachers.

BREAKFAST: American Legion, Mathews Post 83, will have its World Famous Breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Sunday at the post home at 73 Hookemfair Road, Hudgins. The cost is $10.

BROADBAND: The Mathews Broadband Advisory Board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Mathews Memorial Library and online via the Zoom platform.
SCHOOL BOARD: The Gloucester County School Board will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the T.C. Walker Education Center.

SUPERVISORS: The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will have a public hearing on adoption of the tax rate and the FY 2024 budget at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, in the historic courthouse.
