PARTY AT THE WHARF: Party at the Wharf will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday at Williams Wharf Landing in Mathews. There will be food, live music, and dancing. The cost is $5 per person at the gate; children 12 and under are free. Food sales will accept a credit card; wine and beer is cash only.

SATURDAY

MOSS SIGNING: Internationally renowned artist P. Buckley Moss will sign prints of her new painting of New Point Lighthouse from noon-4 p.m. Saturday at the Mathews Historical Museum, 200 Main Street. Sales of the print will benefit the museum.

BLOOD DRIVE: A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Piankatank Ruritan Club on Buckley Hall Road at Hudgins. Appointments required by calling 804-725-2485 or visiting redcrossblood.org. All blood types needed.

SOCIAL SERVICES: The Mathews County Social Services Board will meet at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Human Services Building on Church Street.

NEXT THURSDAY

MCRC: The monthly Zoom meeting for Mathews County Resources Council will be held next Thursday, Sept. 16, with login time beginning at 9:05 a.m. The presenter will be Sherry Pearson, President of Job Shop, Inc., of Shacklefords.
