Comedy show to benefit West Mathews Civic Center

A comedy benefit show will be held next week at to help keep the lights on at the West Mathews Civic Center.

Tom Holaday will be the headline performer of the show, which will be held at 7 p.m. next Thursday, May 19, in Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium.

Other comics who will appear in the show include Hatton Jordan, Vince Pilato, Martin Phillips of Virginia Beach and Jim Seward of Tennessee. Tickets, at $10 apiece, will be available at the door.

Phillips hosts shows at Cozzy’s Comedy Club in Newport News. Jordan used to write for Mad Magazine. He is in the TV series “Turn” and has been in several ID (Investigation Discovery) re-enactments. He has worked with Holaday for over 20 years.
