The Williamsburg Players will present the comedy “Mayhem on the Air” at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the theater on Hubbard Lane in Williamsburg.

The period piece takes place at station WTTY in late 1948. The broadcasters and staff have been joined by a mischievous little girl for a schedule that includes a western melodrama, a news program, a song countdown, a suspense thriller, a comedy panel show, and a serial mystery.
