Colors of Christmas

Kane Zander, Cobbs Creek, said this Christmas cactus is more than 20 years old; and thanked Susan Camp (Gardening Corner) for the recent article on the different types of holiday cacti.

Galoris Brownley, while birding in Machicomoco State Park last week, noticed the Timberneck House was decorated for Christmas. Simple, yet a nice touch, she said.

Sandra Byrd’s tree is decorated entirely in glass ornaments that she has collected for over 30 years. “It shimmers like a frozen lake under a winter moon.”
