A graveside service for Col. Richard Leon White (U.S. Army-ret.) of Springfield, Virginia, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, in Arlington National Cemetery. He died April 23, 2016. He was a former resident of Mathews County.

A reception for family and friends will be held at the Fort Myer Officers’ Club following the service.
