Coastwise Design, a sign-making and screen-printing business located on Main Street, Mathews, has changed hands.

Mathews residents Rich Taylor and Lisa Brooks recently purchased the longstanding Main Street company from former owners Dan Ortiz and Robin Farr. They said they’ll continue to offer a wide range of items, including dimensional and monumental signage for businesses, municipalities, and organizations; vehicle, boat, and fleet graphics; and T-shirts and other apparel in silk screen or heat transfer.

The company also offers embroidery and logo design, as well as letterheads, envelopes, and business cards.

Taylor and Brooks said that Ortiz and Farr have been extraordinarily helpful during the transition of the business, providing extensive training and continued advice and assistance.

“We want to build on the legacy they built,” said Taylor. “They’ve done a good job and have a good name in the community.”
