Gloucester Point restaurant Coastal Kitchen is expanding outside of its walls with the opening of the new Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream. Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream is located one door down from the restaurant in the York River Crossing Shopping Center, Hayes. The new location is set to open its doors at noon on Valentine’s Day (Tuesday, Feb. 14).

To celebrate the grand opening of Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream, owner Forest Gary said there will be two raffle drawings customers can enter to win either free ice cream for a year or a free dinner for two at the restaurant next door. He said those who don’t win can still enjoy a free scoop on their birthday.

With 40 years in the restaurant business, Gary said opening an ice cream shop was something he’s always wanted to do. He said an ice cream shop is something Gloucester Point doesn’t have right now and plans for Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream to fill that void.
