CMTI named to MarineNews 100

Chesapeake Marine Training Institute in Hayes was named to the MN 100, an annual review of the 100 most compelling companies serving the workboat, brown water, inland and coastal markets, a release stated.

The MN 100 is published by MarineNews, a trade publication focused on North American maritime communities. With origins tracing to 1914, MarineNews is the most widely circulated workboat publication in the world.

CMTI was founded in 1992 and hosts more than 50 marine training and certification courses. CMTI offerings prepare novices for a career in the marine industry, as well as help established mariners advance their careers.

The publication described CMTI as a “proven industry leader in providing quality maritime training to thousands of mariners over the last 25 years.”
