All post offices, ABC stores, and waste facilities in Gloucester and Mathews will be closed next Thursday, Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Courts, county offices, and DMV customer service centers in the two counties will also be closed a half day Wednesday, Nov. 26, as well as all day Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28. DMV Select in Mathews will close earlier on Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m.

Gloucester libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday next week, opening for normal hours on Saturday. Mathews Memorial Library will be closed Thursday through Sunday.

Schools in both counties will be closed all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-28.
