Clean Gloucester Day 2016, the sixth annual countywide cleanup, will be held on Saturday along roadsides throughout the county.

Over 300 volunteers participated in last year’s event collecting approximately 9.25 tons of trash and litter. The 9.25 tons included 627 bags of trash as well as tires, pieces of wood and metal, car parts, and other assorted debris and rubbish.

This year, the Gloucester Clean Community Committee hopes to get 500 or more volunteers taking part,

Supplies will be provided to those who participate. Participants may clean areas of their own choosing.
