Clean Gloucester Day is March 19

Plans are underway for Clean Gloucester Day 2016. Gloucester County residents are asked to volunteer for the sixth annual countywide cleanup, which will be held on Saturday, March 19. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held the following Saturday, March 26.

More than 300 volunteers participated in last year’s event collecting approximately 9.25 tons of trash and litter. The 9.25 tons included 627 bags of trash, as well as tires, pieces of wood and metal, car parts, and other assorted debris and rubbish.

Since its inception in 2011, more than 1,860 volunteers have collected a total of 50 tons of trash and litter on Clean Gloucester Day.
