A lot of roadside trash got picked up in Gloucester County this weekend, thanks to volunteers who turned out for Saturday’s Clean Gloucester Day. As of Monday’s count, 557 people spent 148 hours filling 629 bags with debris, according to Clean Community Coordinator Sherry Kosakowski. Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism department members got into the act, cleaning up trash along Route 17 bypass on Friday, just ahead of the main event. Among those taking part were, from left, Denise Carter, Robert Kelly, Ron Alston, Matt Barber, Sherry Kosakowski and Gregg Tonge.
