Class offered in Gloucester for first-time home buyers

A free class for first-time home buyers, developed by the Virginia Housing Development Authority, will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 27 at the Habitat for Humanity of Gloucester-Mathews ReSTORE in the White Marsh Shopping Center.

The course teaches the key steps to home buying. Industry experts—such as housing/credit counselors, real estate agents, lenders, home inspectors, and closing agents—volunteer their time to offer their insights into the process.

The class covers personal finances and credit, loan types, the loan process, working with a real estate agent, the home inspection, the closing process and more.

For more information, call the local Habitat for Humanity at 804-695-9655. To register for the class, visit vhda.com/freeclass. ...
