The churches of our village have decided to hold a Union prayer meeting Tuesday evening of each week at 7 o’clock. The dates and churches at which services will be held are as follows: Disciples, Sept. 24; Episcopal, Oct. 1; Methodist, Oct. 8; Baptist, Oct. 15. It is earnestly hoped that our people of all denominations will rally to these services and that much good will be accomplished.

Mrs. Eugene Callis, chairman of nursing community of the Mathews Chapter American Red Cross, reports the treatment of 33 patients at the Red Cross first aid booth at Mathews Fair last week. Mrs. Callis was assisted in this splendid work by members of the Red Cross Class in Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick.
