Churches provide lunches during Gloucester’s Spring Break

Although this week is officially Spring Break for Gloucester County Public Schools, students have still been able to get their lunches, thanks to four local churches.

Petsworth Baptist Church, along with help from BridgePoint, Providence and Union Baptist churches, teamed up to offer free bagged lunches for any child in Gloucester. Lunches are being distributed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday in the Petsworth Baptist parking lot at 2471 Hickory Fork Road, with curbside pickup.

Meals are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, rain or shine. Just show up to pick up your meal and no information is required. When you pull into the parking lot, look for directions on your drive up.

The church volunteers will pass the meal through your window or put it in your trunk, whichever you desire. They ask that you please stay in your vehicle at all times.
