Churches announce their Christmas plans

Christmas services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

Abingdon EpiscopalAbingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will hold a drive-in worship service at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The Bell Choir will participate and there will be a live nativity. At 10:30 p.m., the church will offer a livestream and drive-in worship with a string quartet.

On Christmas Day, from 11 a.m.-noon, distribution of communion consecrated at late service Christmas Eve.On Sunday, Diocesan Lessons and Carols service via YouTube and Facebook.

Apostles LutheranWhile physical worship services at Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, are suspended, a pre-recorded candlelight Christmas Eve service will be available to be viewed at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Details are on the church’s website at apostles-elca.org. A Lessons and Carols worship service will be held via Zoom at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
