Services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

ABINGDON EPISCOPAL

Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will hold Holy Eucharist services at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Both services are held in person and the 10:30 service is livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.

ANGEL VISIT BAPTIST

Angel Visit Baptist Church, Dunnsville, will celebrate its 157th church anniversary and homecoming, “The Year of Amazing Things,” on Saturday and Sunday. The celebration will begin on Saturday, Aug. 12, with a fun day on the back lawn of the church from noon to 4 p.m.

Sunday worship service will be at 10 a.m. in-person and by Zoom. The Rev. Dr. Helen Washington-Randall, pastor of Elam Baptist Church, Charles City, will preach. She will be accompanied by her choir and congregation. Dinner will follow the service.
