Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church, which has been holding services in the island park’s gazebo, across from the church, since COVID-19 began, continued this tradition even in Sunday’s bitter cold. Heather Makenzie offered special music to congregation members, who stay in their cars to listen. Bundled up against the chill and new-fallen snow, Makenzie and others taking part stood in the gazebo to conduct the service.
