CHRISTY LYN GABLER

Christy Lyn Gabler, of Gloucester, a native of Florida, age 55, died peacefully at home with family by her side on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, devoted friend and colleague to so many. Christy inspired all with her zest for life, sense of adventure and bright smile.

Her husband Ernie of 35 years said it best, “she was the perfect military wife. Never questioning how long I would be gone on deployment or how many times we had to move. With her dedicated and faithful support, I could leave to defend our country and never worry about home.” For more than 10 years, Christy was a Land Record Recorder with Gloucester County Circuit Court.

Her father, Williams Fraasa, preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, she is survived by their son, Evan Gabler and wife Ashley; daughter, Kaley Edwards and husband Thomas; four grandchildren, Easton and Knox Gabler, Payton and Livia Edwards; mother, Mary Margaret Fraasa; brothers, Steve Fraasa and wife Yeshi, Reed Fraasa and wife Dana, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

In honor of Christy, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice of Virginia, 263 McLaws Circle, Suite 100, Williamsburg, Va. 23185.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Patty, Heather, Shameka, and Mary for their compassion and love (our Angels on Earth).
