CHRISTOPHER C. CONWAY III

Christopher C. Conway III, of Wicomico, died May 15, 2013 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

“Junior” was a longtime waterman and seafood dealer, owning and operating C. C. Conway Seafoods. He enjoyed sport fishing and tinkering with motors.

He was preceded in death by parents, Christopher and Florida Mae Conway; brother, Raymond Conway; children, Richard Conway, Virginia Mae Fields and Robert C. Conway.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia D. Conway; sisters, Helen C. Cox and husband John, and Alene C. Sealey; son-in-law, Howard Fields; daughter-in-law, Linda Conway; grandsons, W. Eli Fields and wife Holley, Christopher Conway, Craig Conway and wife Melissa; a great-grandson, Evan Richard Conway, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service conducted by the Rev. W. Donald Ambrose was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends assembled at the cemetery. The family received friends Friday, May 17, 2013, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Walter Reed Convalescent Center for the care given to our beloved Junior.
