Rodgers Voice & Piano Studio held its Christmas recital on Friday at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Gloucester. Among those participating were, front row from left in top photo, Paul Gordon, Emily Killebrew, Katy Kirwan, Andrew King, Jace Scalf; second row, Frances Gordon, Ben Kirwan, Catherine King, Jackson Scalf; back row, Liam Killebrew, John Gordon, Kai Wong, Nan Evans, Rachel Hennon and instructor Sherri Rodgers. Students from the studio also participated in the Peninsula Music Teachers Association’s Piano Olympics, held last month at Christopher Newport University. The event focuses on technique, including playing scales, chords, cadences, and arpeggios.
