The annual free Advent book published by Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church will be available on Saturday.
Dr. Ed Jordan, pastor, said the book is titled “Christmas Lights” and contains stories by people connected to the church. It has 25 short readings, one for each day in December leading up to Christmas Day. “The daily stories help us gain or keep perspective as we move towards the wonder of Christmas Day, when we celebrate the arrival of Jesus,” Jordan said.
“This has been a very difficult year, full of ups and downs, bursts of hope dashed by COVID-19’s new variants,” he added. “Are you feeling like it is time to break out of the darkness and into the light? We do!”
Copies are available at the church’s 10 a.m. Sunday Drive-In Worship Service (sit in your car) in the park across the street from 2011 Old Ferry Road. They may also be obtained by calling 804-725-2384.
