Christmas in Gloucester

A large crowd braved chilly temperatures to watch Saturday’s Gloucester Citizen’s Christmas and Holiday Parade along Main Street. Nearly 100 entries took part in the parade, from civic and school groups to businessess, police, fire and rescue, with throngs of spectators lining the road. In top photo, Abingdon Elementary School students, full of enthusiasm, show off their Panther Pride. In photo at right, Izzy Padilla, left, and Brynn Clark, members of the Glo Co 4-H Horse Club use an old-fashioned mode of transportation, a horse and buggy, to travel along Saturday’s parade route.
