Christmas Homes Tour to be held Dec. 2

Green Spring Garden Club of Williamsburg will hold its Christmas Homes Tour on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The tour will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Rev. W.A.R. Goodwin’s return to Williamsburg. In 1923, Mr. Goodwin, also known as the Father of Colonial Williamsburg, planted the seed that flourished into the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

The tour will feature four houses in the historic area. In each, aspects of Goodwin’s life and contributions will be highlighted.

As a bonus, Bruton Parish Church will provide more information about Goodwin at the church and its Heritage Center located on Duke of Gloucester Street.

Tickets are $40 and can be easily purchased on the Green Spring Garden Club website at www.greenspringgardenclub.org.
