CHRISTINE ‘SUE’ MATHEWS BELVIN

Sue went home to be with her Lord March 1, 2017 surrounded by her family, at the age of 75.

She was born July 18, 1941 and was a native of Fairmont, West Virginia.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Richard ‘Dickie’ Belvin, a native of York County. They were married March 2, 1966.

She has three children: son, David Tennant, daughter, Dawn Skinner of Granville, West Virginia, and daughter, Barbi and son-in-law Dan Gamble of Gloucester.

She is also survived by six grandchildren: Krystal Tennant, Jordan, Taylor and Kendall Gamble of Gloucester and Ashleigh and Tiara Ireland of Morgantown, West Virginia. She leaves a loving legend of four great-grandchildren: Ashlynn, Chloe, Colton and Braiden. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters: Glenna Gehring and late husband Bill of Idaho, Denzil Mathews and late wife Carol of Maryland, Helen Davis of West Virginia, Anna Rannenberg and husband Tom of West Virginia, Johnny Mathews and wife Sue of West Virginia, Clarence Mathews and wife Brigitte of West Virginia, Jeannie Ryan of Tennessee, and Corkey Ice and husband Toby of Ohio. She leaves several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jennings and Delvia Mathews of Fairmont, West Virginia and grandchildren, Jessica and Ricky Ireland of Buckhannan, West Virginia.

She worked at Gee Bees in Fairmont for 15 years, and was a charter member of Tri-City Church of God. She moved to Gloucester in 1992, and was the owner and operator of Nitty Gritty Cleaning Service from 1996-2005.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a true faith of God. “Love Works.”

The family received friends at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 2-3:30 p.m.
