For the second year in a row, Chesapeake Bank has been named the Best Bank to Work For in Virginia by American Banker and Best Companies Group, also moving up in the national rankings from #24 in 2020 to #15 this year.

This is American Banker’s ninth annual ranking of the Best Banks to Work For and 90 banks earned a spot on the list.The program identifies, recognizes and honors U.S. banks for outstanding employee satisfaction. Analysis for the ranking is performed with the Best Companies Group, which conducts extensive employee surveys and reviews employer reports on benefits and policies.

The employee survey consists of approximately 78 statements that employees respond to on a 5-point agreement scale, as well as open-ended and demographic questions.
