Chesapeake Bay Writers to meet Feb. 16

Chesapeake Bay Writers club will hold a general meeting, luncheon, a’ Smokehouse Grill in Williamsburg. Registration is required; the form is available at chesapeakebaywriters.org.

CBW’s membership chair and presidential candidate Sonja McGiboney will present “Self-Publishing—From Story to Print and Beyond.” An independent author of 15 children’s picture books, she will share her experiences in the world of self-publishing, from writing a story to marketing the finished book.

Drawing from her experience in the public schools, she combines photography with lyrical writing and rhyme to create engaging, educational books for children. She is currently working on a middle grade novel.

The position of vice president will be open for nominations.
