Chesapeake Bank hires new assistant VP

Chesapeake Bank announced this week the hiring of Caroline Townsend Olney as assistant vice president and mortgage loan officer for both the Gloucester and Hayes offices. Olney brings more than 12 years of mortgage banking experience to Chesapeake Bank, according to a news release from the bank.

Olney, a graduate of West Point High School and Mary Washington College, began her mortgage banking career in 2003 with Colonial Farm Credit. After three years as a loan originator, she was promoted to manager, overseeing the mortgage division in Mechanicsville for over nine years. Olney most recently worked for Atlantic Bay Mortgage in Gloucester.

At Chesapeake Bank, Olney arranges all types of residential mortgages, including Conventional, VA, FHA, USDA, Jumbo and construction loans. ...
