Cheerleading champs

The Gloucester High School varsity competition cheer team took home the Division 5 Championship on Saturday in the Cosby Challenge at Cosby High School. The challenge had eight teams divided into three division groups compete; Gloucester ranked third among them. Cheer coach Carlee Hanchak said the 10-person cheer team had only one attempt to nail its three-minute performance, which featured stunts, pyramids, tumbling and dance choreography. The GHS competition cheer squad includes, front row from left, Abby Littlefield, Jovie Seal, Kayhla Winston, Skylar Klaiss, Haylee Hartleben; back row, Makayla Burmeister, Emily Waddles, Arrybella Siddons, Aniya Carter, Kayla Pasipanki and Marissa Pelfrey.
