Charles Perry Walker, 78, of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at home. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company in 1992 after 35 years of service as a machinist. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and attended New Hope Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death in death by his parents, Everett and Stella Sydner Walker, and his first wife, Leona Faye Walker. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Walker, his children, Clay Alan Walker Sr., Cindy Marie Barrett, and Russell Lee Walker; brother, John Walker; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends on Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 10-11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with a memorial service following; Pastor Dave Seabolt and Pastor Richard Ford conducting.

Memorial donations may be made to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.
