CHARLES CORSON BUNTING

Charles Corson Bunting, 85, of Port Haywood, passed away on May 2, 2018.

He was the son of the late Cecil Claytor Bunting and the late Leonard C. Bunting. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Jacqueline Snoddy, and half-brother Boyd Bunting.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Cora; his son, David Bunting (Pam); a daughter, Donna Fary (Joe); his brother, Leonard Bunting Jr. (Barbara); half-brother, Sam Bunting (Rosanne); brother-in-law, Jay Snoddy; sister-in-law, Dot Bunting; three grandchildren, Brian Dunston, Lindsay Nazak, and Kendall Bunting, and one great-grandson, Asher Nazak.

Charlie served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the Post Office as Postmaster at Highland Springs as well as Ark. He was a member of St. Matthew UMC. He was an avid gardener, and had a passion for his pet cats.

The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. on May 6, 2018, followed by the service at Bethel United Methodist Church, with interment at H. C. Smither Cemetery, Hudgins.
