CHARLES ‘CHIP’ QUINTON KILMON

Charles “Chip” Quinton Kilmon, 55, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and Faith Baptist Church, and proudly served in the Reserve as a Navy Corpsman. This led to a career in biomedical and information systems. Charles enjoyed being active, forming the first Mathews High School cross country team as a teenager and more recently, establishing Trinity Choppers Motorcycle Sales and Repair.

Charles was devoted to his family and friends, always willing to help where needed. He was a published poet and best expressed himself through poetry. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether on machinery or sewing purses and wallets, as well as cooking and baking.

Charles was predeceased by his mother, Sue Davis Kil-mon; niece, Kristen Parsons, and nephew Brian White.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Shih Kilmon; father, Alton “Butch” Kilmon; sisters, Robin Kilmon Southall (Keith) and Beth Kilmon Wyatt (Johnathan); nieces, Honor Latta, Sarah White, and Rebecca Wyatt; nephew, Julian Wyatt, and great-nephews, Brandon, Blake, Bryan, and Bryce Latta. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. A reception will follow at Faith Baptist Church, 17448 John Clayton Memorial Highway, Mathews, Va. 23109.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Virginia Patriot Guard (VirginiaPatriotGuard.org) or the Gary Sinise Foundation (GarySiniseFoundation.org), both of which aid veterans and their families.
