The Boozefighters Motorcycle Club held its second annual poker run at Hoss’s Deli in Newport News on Sept. 15. More than 150 riders from Gloucester, Mathews, Yorktown, Newport News and Virginia Beach participated, bringing in over $5,000 to support the Samaritan Group of Gloucester. Organized in 1991, the non-profit Samaritan Group helps local residents with temporary financial emergencies such as electrical bills and rent.
