Chamber survey receives good response from members

The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce received good response for its recent member survey, executive director Makalia Records said June 30.

The survey, which was made available online to chamber members, received responses from 63 out of the approximately 300 members, which Records termed a very good rate.

Ninety-five percent of respondents supported the chamber switching to a membership year corresponding to a traditional calendar year, Records said. With invoices going out Nov. 1, 2011 for the 2012 year, she said, "the chamber can budget more efficiently and more accurately track membership."

Many respondents indicated they wanted the chamber to be "a unified voice that represents the business interests of the community," and wanted to "increase positive visibility in the community."
