Chamber meet-and-greet

Cathy Mise, left, vice president and regional retail manager of Chesapeake Bank, chats with Lauren Ambrose of Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury, and her father, Lawrence Ambrose of Ambrose Disposal, during a meet-and-greet on April 30 for prospective members of the Mathews County Chamber of Commerce, which is looking to reactivate. Lynn Jaeger of Kayjae Inc., who organized the meeting, discussed the benefits of belonging to a local chamber of commerce and provided information about plans for future activities. The chamber’s registered agent, Brenda Moore of Alcova Mortgage/Allianz, was on hand to answer questions. There was also a drawing for door prizes. Patty Moss of the P. Buckley Moss Gallery won a basket of natural products provided by CA&J Farms, Kim Andrews of the Gazette-Journal won a basket of assorted items provided by Chesapeake Bank, Ian Morse and Robin Farr of Morse Enterprises won certificates for classes at Rappahannock Community College, and Chiquita Loving ...
