Chamber breakfast to focus on accounting; career expo planned

The Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce will hold a quarterly business breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Olivia’s in the Village on Main Street. Cost for breakfast is $12 per person.

The program, held in conjunction with the Gloucester Economic Development Authority, will be titled “Accounting Principles and Investments Overview.”

Also, the Middle Peninsula Career Fair & Expo 2017 will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Gloucester High School on Short Lane. The chamber is presenting the program with Gloucester County Public Schools, Virginia Employment Commission and Peninsula Worklink.

The event will allow residents to meet local employers and participate in on-site job interviews. Also, an employer forum will be held. Educational booth and sponsorship opportunities are available.
