Sara Craig of Gloucester, top photo at right, puts the finishing touches on a drawing she and two friends, Katie Girard and Raeanne Love, created for the Chalk Fest held Saturday on Carriage Court, Gloucester. The theme of the contest was The Circle of Life, and the girls’ drawing depicted flowers, a cat, a dog, and a bear. Also completing their drawings were Laura Godwin, left, a peace symbol; and Mason Murawski, center, seagulls, a seal and a shark.
At right, Melanie Hamilton of Ark was among the adult competitors. Her entry was a stylized drawing of a tree with branches representing the concepts "love, create, live and remember." Photos by Sherry Hamilton.
