CH Players to present ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr.’ Nov. 17-19

“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr.,” a musical based on the beloved theatrical production and film of the same name, will be presented next weekend at Mathews High School by the Court House Players.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19 in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews.

The musical tells of the journey of the Potts family—father Caractacus, played by Van Hutchins, and children Jeremy (Tristan Selph) and Jemima (Sienna Colby). The three, joined by Truly Scrumptious (Addison Morgan), take off for an afternoon trip to the sea but instead find themselves on a rescue mission to save Grampa Potts (Noah Chambers) from the clutches of the Baron and Baroness Bombast of Vulgaria (Jackson Kirvan and Rebekkah Thomas) and the Child Catcher (Connor White).
