About 50 sponsors, their families, county staff and volunteers gathered Sept. 11 in front of Warner Hall in Gloucester to be recognized for their contributions in the upcoming Return to the Hook re-enactment.
Scheduled for Oct. 18-20, the Revolutionary War re-enactment is expected to be even larger than the first Battle of the Hook that was held in October 2008, also on the grounds of Warner Hall.
Warner Hall owner Theresa Stavens kicked off the ceremony by thanking everyone present for all of their support and help. "We could not be more honored to have this dedicated team that put this together," she said. "Wow! For Warner Hall to be the host site two times for this incredible recreation of this incredible battle that put Gloucester on the map."
