At Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, volunteers are truly the heart of everything we do. Every day, their impact can be seen and felt throughout our organization. From the moment you walk through our doors, volunteers are hard at work behind the scenes and on the front lines, ensuring that each animal in our care receives the love and attention they deserve. Our cat socializers spend quiet moments helping shy felines come out of their shells, building trust one gentle interaction at a time. Dog walkers and enrichment volunteers provide exercise, structure, and much-needed companionship, helping our dogs stay happy and healthy while they wait for their forever homes.
