It is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the joy, companionship, and unconditional love that young pets bring into our lives! While adorable photos and playful videos may dominate social media on March 23, the day also serves a deeper purpose: raising awareness about pet adoption and the thousands of puppies and kittens in shelters who are waiting for loving homes. At the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, puppy wiggles and kitten purrs are more than just heart-melting moments: they represent hope. Each young animal that comes through the door has a story. Some arrive as strays, others are surrendered through no fault of their own, and many are born into uncertain circumstances.
