Catherine Loretta Brooks Booth, 86, lifelong resident of Gloucester, claimed her reward on Oct. 7, 2017.

Catherine attended Gloucester Training School and at an early age dedicated her life to Christ at Morning Glory Baptist Church.

In 1948, she married Leon N. Booth and to that union two daughters were born. She retired from the Gloucester County School System after more than 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, and daughter, Loretta B. Tyler.

She leaves to mourn her loving and devoted daughter, Linda Burrell of Gloucester; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Morning Glory Baptist Church, Davenport Road, Gloucester. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Booth will lie in state from 11 a.m. until service time.
