Catherine Delores Brown Lomax of Gloucester, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 31, 2017, peacefully at Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

She was born June 29, 1936 to the late George and Ruth Brown. She was married to the late Floyd Lomax for 49 years. 

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Lewis, Christine Gregory, Ruth Dedmon, and Edward, Herman and John Brown.

She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Lomax Scott (Larry), Laverne Lomax, April Lomax-Cross; one son, Floyd K. Lomax (Denise); 11 grandchildren, KenYetta Lee (Tilton), Shannon Scott (Emily), Shayla Lomax, Renada Randall, Kendall Randall, Justin Scott, Andrew Lomax, Sade Lomax, Amir Lomax, Taylor Lomax and Zoe Cross; one sister, Ann Faison (Charlie); one sister-in-law, Anna Brown; goddaughter, Loretta Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
