Case against Walls postponed until December

A case involving charges of disorderly conduct, assault and battery, and abusive language filed against a current member of the Mathews County Board of Supervisors by a candidate running for the board in the fall election has been postponed until December.First slated to be heard in May, the case has been continued three times, first to September, then to October, and now to Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. in Mathews General District Court.The case involves a confrontation between supervisor Mike Walls and supervisor candidate Billy Cook that occurred during the annual May Faire celebration.
