Carrie Lee “Peggy” Hollomon, 82, of Gloucester, Va., passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Wilson County, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Luby T. and Fannie Barnes Durham and was the widow of Luby Franklin Hollomon Sr. She was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church in Gloucester.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Luby L. Durham, Mildred Hollomon, and Edward Durham. She is survived by her children, Frank Hollomon and his wife Sandy, June Lewis and her husband Cecil, and Melvin Hollomon and his wife Alicia; her siblings, Sadie Bailey, Alice Rhodes, Bettie Snow, Donald Durham, and Joan Shaffer; her grandchildren, Kim, Amy, Kelly, Jacob, A.J., Andrew, and Monica, and her great-grandchildren, T.J., Austin, Alyssa, Tyler, Mariah, Chad, Liam, Josh, Brooke, Jaelyn; nieces, nephews and a multitude of loving friends.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Windsor Gardens Cemetery in Dutton, Va.
