Carolyn Patricia Minor Elliott, 78, native of Mathews, passed away on Dec. 22, 2015 at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1937 to the late Benjamin and Lucy Minor. She was also the sister of the late Wendell Minor.

She worked for 17 years as a seamstress at K&E Manufacturing in Gloucester. She was a southern and hospitable lady that took pride in cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed listening to music on vinyl records. 

She is survived by her husband, Edward Elliott; her daughter, Rachel Gibson; her son, Wade Elliott and his wife Jeannie; her granddaughter, Lisa Johnson; her grandson, Jeremy Elliott and his wife Tracy. She adored both of her great-granddaughters, Lauren Johnson and Elise Elliott. She also loved her nephew, Robert Minor, his wife Tina, their daughter Brandy; her niece, Christina Minor and her daughter Mallory Owens. 

Her celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Foster, Va.
