Carolyn Byrd Smith, 76, Mathews, mother of Jacqueline Brown and Cadella “Lucy” Forrest, died on Monday, August 4, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, at Mathews Arts Center, 61 Cobbs Creek Lane, Cobbs Creek. Viewing will be held one hour before start of service at 1 o’clock.
